Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resourcing, milestones, and risk management strategies.
- Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members to foster collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- Drive effective team ceremonies and working sessions, maintaining alignment across all project contributors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate regular status updates, executive-level readouts, and milestone reviews to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Manage senior-level customer expectations, address concerns promptly, and build strong, long-term relationships that support client satisfaction and retention.
- Identify, document, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies with clear owners and action plans.
- Escalate and resolve impediments quickly to minimize disruption to timelines and deliverables.
- Regularly inspect project health and adjust plans as needed to maintain momentum and outcomes.
- Own project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring financial objectives and margin targets are met.
- Partner with resource managers to secure, allocate, and optimize project staffing in line with priorities and timelines.
- Maintain project artifacts and ensure adherence to company governance, methodologies, and best practices.
Requirements And Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; master's degree is a plus.
- 8+ years of project management experience leading software implementation or delivery projects.
- 5+ years of experience with healthcare payer core administration platforms, including HealthRules Payer or comparable platforms.
- Proven experience delivering projects using both agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and waterfall approaches.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, implementation processes, and project management best practices.
- Proficiency with project and work management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Trello, MS Project, or Asana.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders.
- PMP, CAPM, CSM, or equivalent project management certification; active certification strongly preferred.
- Experience working with health plans, payers, or healthcare technology organizations.
- Background leading multi-organization or vendor-partner delivery environments.
