Senior Project Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to execute project scopes, ensuring effective communication, managing project processes, and delivering high-quality results. They also manage project teams, monitor performance, and address risks and opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and implements project execution strategies, working closely with commercial management to achieve project goals.
Provides comprehensive reporting to stakeholders, including customers, business partners, and management, and manages internal and external communication.
Assumes full responsibility for project execution from handover to sales until all obligations are complete, and takes actions to improve project processes.
Facilitates knowledge transfer regarding global engineering and construction projects.
Develops and secures necessary resources for project execution, organizes project teams, and ensures clear roles and responsibilities.
Maintains performance monitoring and reporting, taking immediate action to meet financial, time, quality, and safety goals.
Ensures compliance with quality, environmental, and health and safety standards, and addresses claims effectively.
Monitors and updates risk and opportunity assessments, and implements beneficial actions.
Develops and monitors master schedules, manages project float, and ensures timely project completion.
Assists with the implementation of department and business projects, including process development, restructuring efforts, and technical assistance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering or related field.
Experience: 5+ years of relevant industrial experience, 3+ years as IPT lead of large projects, 2+ years of commercial experience, 3+ years of project planning experience, 2+ years of team leadership, 5+ years of decision-making experience, 3+ years of technical presentation experience, and proficiency in relevant software.
Skills: Experience in the power generation industry, strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and travel experience.
