Senior Project Manager

About the role

Gilbert Mechanical, a Legence Company, seeks a Senior Project Manager capable of managing complex mechanical projects for a variety of customers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate 5 years of experience in Mechanical construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.

Responsibilities

• Sell mechanical construction projects to a variety of commercial customers
• Mentor other project managers
• Cookordinate field personnel on projects sold
• Manage project costs
• Communicate scheduled activities with customers, subcontractors and field personnel
• Attend jobsite meetings as required
• Identify and resolve issues/conflicts as they arise
• Manage, organize, and communicate bid documentation for an assigned bid
• Read, understand, and assign cost to all bid related documents (drawings, specs, instructions to bidders)
• Request/Obtain/Evaluate Vendor pricing
• Electronically maintain records of all working documents and data to back up estimates

Requirements

• Knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems, including sheet metal layout, plumbing/piping system design, equipment selection and knowledge of local mechanical codes
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work and produce a deliverable to a deadline
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Competency with computerized estimating and digital take off software
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management preferred

Pay

Base Salary: $105k-$145k. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus. Bonus eligibility and payout are determined by role, individual performance, and company performance, and are not guaranteed.

Actual compensation will be based on skills, experience, and work location, and may vary from the posted range. Hiring bonuses (and any guaranteed year-end bonuses) are administered under Company policy and are not earned until all stated conditions are met (e.g., active employment on the payment date).
