Senior Project Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and guide the successful execution of multiple projects within our Toledo, OR mill. About the role
This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management, capable of mentoring and developing project teams at various levels. The Senior Project Manager will ensure project teams remain focused, meet milestones, and deliver quality outcomes.
Georgia Pacific Toledo is a producer of brown paper used to make cardboard and a leader in recycling in the Northwest. The Toledo Mill is located within a 10-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean, offering access to outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and boating.
Responsibilities
- Manage and track the progress of approximately 20 projects at any given time, ensuring they are on schedule and within scope
- Collaborate with the Engineering Leader and Project Engineers to maintain oversight of projects and to provide strategic direction
- Actively participate in project team meetings; provide guidance and ensure teams are addressing key considerations
- Stay informed of the status across the entire project portfolio of the mill, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
- Coordinate with team members and share ongoing learnings and knowledge to enhance team capabilities and improve project execution
- Directly manage a select number of projects, leveraging your expertise to deliver successful outcomes (projects may be related to buildings, equipment, or other significant elements requiring project management oversight)
Requirements
- Five (5) or more years of Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience supporting capital and maintenance projects in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
- Experience directly supervising others within a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
Qualifications
The following qualifications will put you ahead:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering
- Experience in the Pulp and Paper Industry
- Direct experience leading a team of Project Engineers in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
