About the Role

This is a managerial position responsible for managing projects and leading teams. Projects may vary between private and public owners.

Responsibilities

  • Represent and demonstrate the values of F.H. Paschen: tenacity, versatility, ingenuity, and pride.
  • Manage one large ($80–100 million) or multiple smaller ($20–30 million) construction projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for management staff, architects, subcontractors, owners, and engineers.
  • Participate in the full project lifecycle, including estimating, value engineering, and scheduling.
  • Supervise project teams on assigned contracts.
  • Collaborate with other Project Managers to find alternative solutions and with Superintendents on project execution.
  • Negotiate financial disputes, change orders, and contract modifications with owners and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement field quality assurance and quality control plans with the Superintendent.
  • Collaborate on project safety plans with Superintendent(s).
  • Manage MBE/WBE subcontracting and EEO/Affirmative Action contract requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of construction experience.
  • Experience with a general contractor managing projects or programs.
  • Ability to manage projects and personnel simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of construction, design, cost reporting, and cash flow management.

Skills
