Position Description
Projects may involve a variety of efforts including
- Rolling stock testing such as ride quality, braking performance, noise/vibration levels and vehicle acceptance tests.
- Vehicle and track component evaluations
- Signal and communications testing
- Ergonomics and human factors
Qualifications Required
- BS degree in Engineering, or equivalent
- Min 5 years' experience
- Experience in railroad industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse interdisciplinary team
- Ability to build professional and courteous relationships with your colleagues and supervisors
- Must be able to safely climb a 15 foot high ladder to gain access to railroad cars
- Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to observe all safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Qualifications Desired
- MBA degree or other degree in a business or finance-related field
