About the role
E Tech Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large projects or multiple project efforts. This role involves managing and coordinating the design, procurement, implementation, and commissioning phases of projects, ensuring commercial, financial, and technical success.
Responsibilities
- Manage multi-million dollar projects annually supporting company strategies.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with varying schedules, budgets, and constraints.
- Ensure effective communication between the client, project team, business development, and management teams.
- Resolve scope, schedule, and cost issues as they arise.
- Develop and communicate a clear understanding of client project goals and align company objectives.
- Manage and mitigate project execution risk.
- Produce project proposals and estimates, reviewing project execution plans for feasibility and risk mitigation.
- Develop project schedules and plans, including labor resource and procurement plans.
- Control project scope, manage change orders, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Manage project costs, forecast monthly expenses, and avoid overruns.
- Work with engineering department to plan resources, schedules, and training.
- Attend project/job walks, start-ups, commissioning, and close-out meetings.
- Lead the project team, collaborating with the technical lead, and manage tasks and milestones.
- Communicate project progress to the team and client, advocating for the project team.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of five years of directly related control system project management experience.
- Deep understanding of life sciences, food, beverage, and consumer product industries.
- Experience with control system configuration/software development.
- Understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and engineering project execution.
- Experience managing and mitigating project execution risk.
- Proven ability to negotiate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to write proposals, change orders, and other communications.
- Availability for up to 30% travel.
