Senior Project Manager
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager based in the Atlanta area to join our international PMO team. The ideal candidate will lead customer implementations from proposal to delivery, focusing on driving customer success and business value.
Responsibilities
- Support the final stages of the sales process by shaping projects and creating clear statements of work and project plans
- Lead implementation projects and proofs of concept with full responsibility for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer communication
- Establish and coordinate cross-functional project teams
- Manage project risks, changes, escalations, and stakeholder expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Track progress, financial performance, estimates to complete, forecasting, and invoicing readiness
- Prepare customer-facing and internal project reporting based on company standards
- Drive customer acceptance and successful project closure
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Implementation Leads, Sales, Finance, Product, Operations, and Customer Success
- Use modern tools, including AI, in a secure and effective way to support planning, decision-making, and communication
Requirements
- 5+ years of project management experience delivering complex software projects to large external customers
- A strong background in managing software implementations within complex IT landscapes and ideally from an external consulting environment
- Confidence with project management tools, agile methods, software lifecycle management, estimation, budgeting, and facilitation techniques
- A combination of strong commercial acumen and excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- A proactive, professional communicator who can adapt their leadership style to the situation and build trust across functions and cultures
- An enjoyment of taking responsibility and driving results while maintaining a high level of customer focus
- An openness to occasional travel
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience: Relevant project management experience in software implementation and consulting environments
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
