Senior Project Manager
About the role
Compucom Systems, Inc. provides end-to-end IT managed services to enable the digital workplace for enterprise, midsize, and small businesses. We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team. This role will create project plans, estimate labor costs, request resources, and provide all project management functions for extra-large, complex projects. The position is responsible for managing scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring customer needs are satisfied by delivering specific deliverables consistent with the Statement of Work (SOW).
Responsibilities
- Provide management and oversight of large, complex projects using standard methodologies and processes by directing, coordinating, assessing risks, ensuring timeline compliance, and making recommendations as needed.
- Have command of the contractual requirements and ensure scope compliance.
- Communicate an understanding of the company's business, strategies, and service offerings.
- Manage the relationship with the customer project manager.
- Assess risk and determine the most feasible alternative.
- Manage budget and financial workbooks.
- Mentor associates and assist with pre-sales activities as needed.
- Handle other projects and assignments as needed to accommodate changing departmental or company needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 12+ years of related experience in project management, business administration, operations management, IT management support, or contract management.
- Solid understanding of revenues, margins, and labor costs, with the ability to apply these concepts to CompuCom’s financial planning tools and practices.
- Understanding of account operations, P&L management, budget management, and program management methodologies.
- Experience dealing with ambiguity, conflict management, technical competence, and critical thinking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and experience in presenting and meeting facilitation.
Pay
The annual starting salary for this position is between $97,500 – $130,000. Factors affecting starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
