Senior Project Manager

About the Role

As a key member of the leadership team, you will lead the day-to-day management of projects to deliver world-class service to our clients. You will create project plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resources, communicate with stakeholders, manage risk, and monitor progress to ensure project goals are achieved. Responsibilities

• Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the company's contracts and an understanding of all parties involved
• Secure required permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractors
• Facilitate project meetings to successfully coordinate work activity
• Lead, train, and develop project team members
• Prepare and submit monthly job status reports that outline project priorities and issues
• Lead project close-out, including turnover of manuals and warranties, and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner, engineering, and design firms
• Establish deadlines and monitor the progress of the project
• Participate in proposals and presentations as requested
• Drive a culture of safety on the project site
• Support the company’s acquisition of new work by participating in proposals and presentations
• Provide leadership to foster an environment of inclusion and diversity
• Proactively identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate and win the right work
• Take an active role in recruiting top industry talent to join the team; identify, hire, and retain outstanding people
• Exceed stakeholders’ expectations by anticipating their needs, desires, and goals

Requirements

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience
• 7+ years of construction experience required; working for a general contractor on large-scale construction projects is highly preferred
• 4+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams
• Understanding of the strategic, operational, and financial components of a construction project
• Ability to make timely and effective decisions
• Experience managing projects successfully from start to finish
• Skilled at developing and negotiating relationships with owners and trade contractors
• Strong work ethic, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• DBIA and LEED Accreditation a plus

Work Environment

This is an active, hands-on role requiring frequent presence on construction sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and hoists. The work is physically demanding, involving bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting materials up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds). Effective communication and visual acuity for reading plans and inspecting work are essential. The role also includes desk time in the office for computer work, document review, and meetings.

You will spend significant time on active construction sites, adapting to various weather conditions, moderate to loud noise levels, and elevated or confined work areas with moving mechanical equipment. You will also work in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels. Safety is a top priority, and you must follow Clark Construction's safety policies and procedures at all locations.

This is a high-performance environment requiring flexibility to work extended hours, especially during critical project phases or client deadlines. Responsiveness to time-sensitive matters or emergencies outside regular working hours is expected.

Pay

For this role, the base salary range is $110,000–$220,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on factors such as education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation package, which also includes bonus potential.
