Senior Project Manager
CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Power & Manufacturing – Generation & Energy Management Team at our Boston, MA; Burlington, MA; or Norwell, MA office.
About the Role
The Senior Project Manager will manage the overall client relationship, including technical, financial, and logistical issues. They will sell and develop work with specific clients, leading to a “seller/doer” dual role. This role involves setting visions and strategies for other Project Managers and understanding the professional goals of others.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they stay within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Understand and interpret client contract requirements, track and oversee projects, and prepare project closeout documents.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing clear and successful communication updates to clients, management, and project teams.
- Attend monthly project review meetings with operations and set visions and strategies for other Project Managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 11 years of experience, with a minimum of 8 years of project management experience, is required.
- Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents for projects is required.
- Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships and understanding and interpreting client contract requirements is required.
- Experience tracking and overseeing multiple projects is required.
- Experience utilizing problem-solving skills, exercising discretion, and making independent judgments is required.
- Experience managing project accounting processes, including project budgeting, forecasts, and cash management, is required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite is required.
- Knowledge of Deltek Vision is preferred.
Qualifications
- A PE or equivalent professional license is preferred.
- PMP Certification is preferred.
- An articulate and persuasive communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences is required.
- Experience using MS Project and/or Primavera P6 is preferred.
Skills
- Ability to travel as needed is required.
Benefits
Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
