Senior Project Manager

CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Power & Manufacturing – Generation & Energy Management Team at our Boston, MA; Burlington, MA; or Norwell, MA office.

About the Role

The Senior Project Manager will manage the overall client relationship, including technical, financial, and logistical issues. They will sell and develop work with specific clients, leading to a "seller/doer" dual role. This role involves setting visions and strategies for other Project Managers and understanding the professional goals of others.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee multiple projects, ensuring they are completed within scope, budget, and schedule
• Understand and interpret client contract requirements
• Track and oversee multiple projects
• Utilize problem-solving skills and make independent judgments
• Manage project accounting processes, including budgeting, forecasts, and cash management
• Prepare and present project plans, proposals, and closeout documents
• Communicate updates to clients, management, and project team
• Attend and prepare for monthly project review meetings with operations
• Sell and develop work with specific clients
• Develop marketing plan and target market areas
• Clearly communicate project updates to clients, management, and project team
• Set visions and strategies for other Project Managers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architecture, science, planning, engineering management, or a related field
• PE or equivalent professional license preferred
• PMP Certification preferred
• A minimum of 11 years of experience required; a minimum of 8 years of project management experience required
• Experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents for projects
• Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships
• Experience understanding and interpreting client contract requirements
• Experience utilizing problem-solving skills, exercising discretion, and making independent judgments
• Experience managing project accounting processes, including budgeting, forecasts, and cash management
• Experience in Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision preferred

Qualifications

• An articulate and persuasive communicator with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
• Knowledge of MS Project and/or Primavera P6 preferred
• Ability to travel as needed required

Benefits

Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
