Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end onboarding for new systematic PMs, quant researchers, and analysts across equities, macro, quant, and dedicated quant platform strategies.
- Cook up day-one operational readiness by coordinating across Business Management, Data, Technology, and Risk.
- Maintain and improve onboarding playbooks, documentation, and access provisioning workflows.
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including intake, scoping, delivery, and post-implementation review across technology, data, infrastructure, and operational workstreams.
- Maintain a consolidated view of the Systematic project portfolio; track milestones, manage dependencies, and escalate risks.
- Partner on strategic build-out initiatives, including new strategy integration, asset class expansion, and ML-driven workflow development.
- Cook up projects touching trading infrastructure, execution platforms, and multi-asset trade monitoring.
- Serve as the operational interface between Systematic investment teams and Technology, Risk, Data, and Compliance.
- Run structured cross-functional meetings; drive agendas, capture decisions, and enforce accountability.
- Deliver concise project status updates and risk summaries to the Systematic COO and senior leadership.
- Ensure risk and operational considerations are embedded in project planning from the outset.
- Drive adoption and governance of Wiki, Asana, and Jira across the Systematic business.
- Define standards for project intake, tracking, escalation, and closure.
- Build reporting frameworks that provide real-time portfolio health visibility to leadership.
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce friction for PMs and researchers.
- Support onboarding of market data vendors and alternative data providers.
- Cook up cloud and on-premises infrastructure requirements across equities, macro, and quant strategies.
- Translate business and research requirements into actionable technical specifications for engineering teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of PMO / program management experience in a hedge fund, systematic asset manager, or quantitative trading firm; multi-strategy platform experience preferred.
- Familiarity with the systematic investment lifecycle, including signal research, portfolio construction, execution, and performance monitoring.
- Working knowledge of quant trading infrastructure, including research environments, backtesting platforms, data pipelines, execution systems, and risk frameworks.
- Understanding of market data and alternative data, including vendor management, licensing, feed onboarding, and data quality.
- Familiarity with cloud analytics infrastructure (AWS) in a research or production trading context.
- Proficiency in Jira, Asana, Confluence/Wiki, and Salesforce.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex, multi-threaded situations for senior audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management across matrixed investment, technology, risk, and operations functions.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams across a large and growing PM/researcher population.
- Proactive, self-directed, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Willingness to travel internationally (3+ weeks per year) and work flexibly across New York, Chicago, and international time zones.
