Senior Project Manager
Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the projects assigned, while remaining aligned with strategy, commitments and goals of the organization. The role will manage projects from onset through completion, enhancing quality management systems, company related KPI's, and policies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, establish and manage a platform and process for receiving and tracking all project requests and project plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets.
- Create project templates to be used and modified as needed.
- Work with quality management system (QMS) and performance management teams to develop ROI and synergy tracking.
- Ensure industry standards and customer satisfaction are maintained throughout the project as well as that safety regulations and company policies are followed.
- Create monthly status report readout to executive management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify project scope and determine the team’s key players and requirements; identifies and mitigates project risk and issues.
- Create and schedule team responsibilities; technical/operation requirements; detailed project plans, project budget, timelines, resources, specifications, etc. to accomplish project goals; continually follows up with team to ensure goals are achieved.
- Manage projects, including leading project meetings; document issues, action items, user requirements, or deliverables; update project schedules and plans, project communications, provide project participant status updates, budget tracking, etc.
- Drive a self-management project work stream process and execution.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Required); Master's Degree (Preferred).
- Experience: 7+ years experience as a project manager or experience as team lead managing large budgets (Required); 3+ years of experience in a freight forwarding environment (Preferred).
- Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Project planning and life cycle development; High strong verbal and written communication skills, including the confidence to present, influence, and collaborate at the leadership level; High strong analytical skills to think strategically, analyze business data that tells a story, and develop holistic HR solutions to address talent gaps; Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, vlookups) and PowerPoint; Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems; High strong time management and organizational skills; Knowledge of project management, timelines, deadlines, and follow-through on finished projects; High Ability to effectively use project management tools and techniques; Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI - Program & Project Management (Preferred).
Wage Range
The wage range for this position is $92,700.00-$139,060.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
