Senior Project Manager

About the role

Manage the overall project execution of our design-build initiatives, ensuring adherence to design specifications, budget constraints, and schedule requirements. Collaborate with the design-build team to develop and implement efficient project plans and strategies in a task-oriented scope of work. Oversee administrative functions including design-builder’s adherence to the design-build agreement, contract performance monitoring, review of payment requisitions, and maintenance of project schedules and budget projections. Maintain comprehensive and accurate project records and documentation using a task-oriented style. Review design-builder change orders, while maintaining budget integrity and producing accurate financial reports. Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships by offering consistent updates. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with quality standards. Promote and enforce a culture of safety across all project sites and operations. Provide on-site leadership and guidance to the project team in the challenging construction environment of New York City that aligns to a task-oriented approach to work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field + 10 years of experience in construction projects of various complexity, including 2 years in a leadership role.
• Experience with working as a Consultant (Owner’s Representative role) and/or Contractor (Project Manager or greater role).

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field + 10 years of experience in construction projects of various complexity, including 2 years in a leadership role.
• Preferred Qualifications: 15 years of experience in construction projects, including 7 years in a leadership capacity. Experience interfacing with NYC agencies with jurisdiction. Track record of successfully leading large-scale high rise construction projects using traditional and design-build project delivery methods. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build relationships and foster a collaborative work environment. Proficiency in construction management software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $190000 to $250000 per year.
