Senior Project Manager
About the role
AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support our multi-disciplinary design team addressing the most challenging engineering tasks in power generation. This includes being a part of the first-of-a-kind program with AECOM partners advancing the innovative stellarator technology to the world.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management of assigned projects;
- Function as the project manager / program manager;
- Take ownership of internal project financials, staffing, legal coordination, and risk management;
- Facilitate planning and kickoff meetings to ensure alignment among all project stakeholders;
- Support projects through complete life cycle including the feasibility phase, preliminary and detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioning;
- Facilitate the design process, including conducting "page-turn design reviews" and equipment fabrication reviews at key project milestones (30%, 60%, and 100% design completion);
- Work closely with the technical delivery team (incl subcontractors) to confirm deliverables and services are being provided to exceed client’s satisfaction;
- This includes coordination with team members across the world;
- Deliver projects in accordance with the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) process;
- Proposal support / capture leadership to support business development activities;
- Identify project opportunities early and facilitate go/no-go decisions, determine project fees, write proposals, prepare and lead client presentations, and negotiation of contracts;
- Client development through existing contracts/relationships including managing key accounts and developing new accounts;
- Occasional travel to client or project sites.
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science (Engineering degree preferred) 6 years of relevant project management experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Project Management experience directly related to power generation projects;
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex engineering projects and/or programs;
- Preferred Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) Nuclear project experience +15 Years of relevant experience, power generation or heavy industrial Experience in managing projects worked in collaborative model environments (e.g. Navisworks, BIM/ACC)

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders;
- Prominent ability to manage large-scale, complex projects in a fast-paced environment;
- Demonstrated success working in a remote team environment.
