Senior Project Manager
About the role
This role is critical in managing Research & Development (R&D) and New Product Development (NPD) teams to successfully complete multiple projects that contribute to the strategic direction of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the creation and execution of project plans for R&D efforts, New Product Development, and design of test system solutions.
- Foster the development of cross-functional project teams.
- Build strong relationships with key customers and partners.
- Assist in capturing and documenting customer requirements and ensure those requirements are translated into design and manufacturing specifications by the technical team.
- Track progress of all projects through design and manufacturing.
- Communicate with project team and management on project requirements, delivery schedule, budget, changes to project scope, and project status.
- Work with project management tools, such as Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Project.
- Offer solutions and corrective actions to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Monitor project budgets and provide visibility to deviations from target.
- Identify opportunities to accelerate the product development cycle.
- Develop processes and tools to optimize efficiency.
- Demonstrate an intense focus on customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proficiency in project management and ERP systems.
- Experience with product development processes and stage gate methodology.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred, but other degrees with appropriate experience will be considered.
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening).
- Adeptness at collaborating effectively both internally and externally with a diverse group of professionals.
- Skill at influencing and motivating teams.
- Ability to drive and lead change management.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively present information to management and customers.

Work environment
This position is based onsite and involves working cross-functionally with engineering teams. The role involves managing product development work that requires collaboration across various departments, but it is not heavily technical and does not involve reviewing design work. The focus is on managing projects that involve multiple components rather than single components like circuit boards or metal stamping.
Location
This is a permanent position based out of Franksville, WI. This is a fully onsite position.
Pay and benefits
The pay range for this position is $120,000.00 – $160,000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
