Senior Project Management Specialist (9106) - Bridges & Buildings/Construction Management

About the role
The Senior Project Management Specialist will work on Bridges & Buildings Construction projects related to all engineering disciplines. This position undertakes engineering and quality assurance assignments of moderate complexity, providing support and direction for construction projects, enforcing inspection plans, and ensuring activities align with SEPTA’s mission and goals.
Responsibilities
- Consults with senior-level engineers and supervision on project definition.
- Applies construction management and quality assurance principles with sound judgment.
- Generates professional written memoranda, technical reports, specifications, and audits.
- Complies with all SEPTA and departmental safety and security policies; reports safety concerns or hazards.
- Documents all major Bridges & Buildings Construction Projects and related contracts.
- Assists Project Engineering with progress reports, contractor compliance, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Supports project management tasks for the Engineering team.
- Maintains documentation of contractor manpower, hours, weather conditions, change orders, job site visitors, daily activities, decisions, and observations.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years of diverse construction management, project management, or engineering experience.
- An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered (e.g., two years of related experience equating to one year of formal post-high school education).
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Project Management software (eBuilder/Trimble preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity working in a unionized environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to work evenings and nights as required for meetings and project work.

Pay
Starting salary up to $98,878.00, with an additional $5,000 increase for those holding a Pennsylvania PE License.
