Senior Project Logistics Specialist
About the role
As a Senior Project Logistics Specialist, you will support efficient delivery across designated products by completing logistics activities for the APX Supply Chain. You will collaborate to meet organizational goals and customer requirements regarding cost, quality, delivery, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and update status of active projects, resolve roadblocks, and escalate issues.
- Source and manage domestic and international logistics providers for all transportation modes, including truck, rail, air, ocean, warehousing, project cargo, and standard freight.
- Manage shipment planning data (requests, ASNs, and system-generated demand) and coordinate with teams to maintain shipment visibility and execution.
- Develop logistics plans aligned with PO and customer contract terms, ensuring supplier, customer, and carrier compliance while supporting safety, service, and cost goals.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation and labeling to ensure compliance.
- Aid in transportation budgeting, quotations, budget tracking, and variance analysis.
- Communicate logistics trends, market indices, best practices, and competitive solutions to guide innovation and efficiency.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Procurement to support logistics execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in logistics operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $64,800 to $81,000 per year.
