Senior Project Estimator

Project Estimator 4 - Digital Transformation (Engineering & Construction Estimating) Location: Juno Beach, FL Schedule: Standard Office Hours Duration: 12-Month Contract Pay Rate: $87-92/hr We are looking for a senior Project Estimator to support the digital transformation of our Engineering & Construction estimating organization. The focus is on improving how teams work through technology, data, automation, and AI. As a senior subject-matter expert with 15+ years of experience in project estimation, cost control strategies, and market-aligned forecasting, you will lead and govern complex capital expenditure (CapEx) estimating and financial modeling across large, high-impact projects. You will develop and validate comprehensive capital cost models, integrate staffing, risk, escalation, and market dynamics into estimates, and act as a technical authority and mentor. You will also support executive decision-making with accurate, defensible, and market-informed project financial evaluations. Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will manage and support a variety of projects within the Engineering & Construction Estimating department. Key responsibilities include: Essential Job Duties and Job Functions: Lead and govern complex CapEx estimating and financial modeling activities across large, high-impact projectsIndependently develop and validate comprehensive capital cost modelsIntegrate staffing, risk, escalation, and market dynamics into estimatesEnsure estimates align with evolving industry benchmarks, financial regulations, and organizational investment strategiesProvide strategic oversight of design reviews to ensure cost-effectivenessLead market pricing and benchmarking initiativesEstablish best practices for construction cost metrics and estimating methodologiesPartner with estimators to understand current processes, pain points, and opportunitiesTranslate business needs into clear requirements for the development teamHelp design, test, and roll out new digital solutionsIdentify opportunities to simplify processes, automate work, and centralize dataServe as a mentor and technical authority on advanced estimating tools, construction cost forecasting, and CapEx optimizationKnowledge and Skills: Strong business, analytical, and problem-solving skillsDeep expertise in project estimation, cost control strategies, and market-aligned forecastingAdvanced knowledge of estimating tools and construction cost forecasting methodsAbility to work comfortably between business and technical teamsStrong communication skills, with the ability to present defensible financial evaluations to executive stakeholdersInterest in technology, data, automation, and AIExperience in estimating, engineering, construction, technology, or product management is a plusEducation and Experience: 15+ years of experience in project estimation, cost control, and CapEx financial modelingExperience supporting large, complex capital projects ...
