Senior Project Engineer- Orange County
About the role
RAM Construction is a leading Commercial General Contractor specializing in tenant improvements, ground-up construction, and retrofits to existing buildings. Our specialized experience allows us to provide clients with an economical and reliable solution in various sectors including healthcare, education, life science, corporate office (tenant & landlord), co-working/creative office, entertainment, industrial, and retail and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Aid in on-site management to ensure project execution success.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks before occurrence.
- Maintain and review daily superintendent reports.
- Ensure the project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines.
- Support the project bidding process.
- Process owner and subcontractors change orders.
- Organize and facilitate weekly Owner-Architect- Contractor (OAC) meetings.
- Help train or mentor other RAM employees and lead by example.
- Continuously seek RAM Construction process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer in Commercial Construction Projects.
- Commercial TI experience required.
- OSHPD and/or Medical Office Building experience preferred.
- Proficiency in reading drawings and understanding the constructability of projects.
- Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of Construction document control, RFI's, and submittal processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, & Outlook).
- Experience with Microsoft Project a plus.
- Experience with Procore a plus.
- Familiarity with CA labor laws and OSHA regulations.

Schedule
7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, an employee is regularly required to sit for long periods, stand, talk, and hear both in person and by telephone. Additionally, they must use their hands to operate, finger, handle, or feel office equipment, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb, stoop, or bend and lift up to twenty-five pounds. It is essential to have the ability to walk up and down the stairs several times a day.
