Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical (HVAC)
Overview
We are hiring for a Senior level Mechanical Project Engineer (PE) in Columbus, Ohio to provide technical and design services in support of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.
Responsibilities
- Interact and work directly with clients
- Conduct preliminary evaluations
- Prepare various reports
- Produce design drawings
- Prepare technical specifications
- Prepare permit submittals for mechanical engineering projects
- Manage multiple concurrent projects
- Complete work assignments within allocated time and budget
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with PE registration or ability to quickly acquire NC PE through reciprocity
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and HVAC system analysis
- Ability to work as part of a project team
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Technically competent, a team player, and good communication skills
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record
Qualifications
- Experience with plumbing and fire protection systems is preferred but not required
- Experience with healthcare work is preferred but not required
