Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical (HVAC)

Overview

We are hiring for a Senior level Mechanical Project Engineer (PE) in Columbus, Ohio to provide technical and design services in support of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial and industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Interact and work directly with clients
• Conduct preliminary evaluations
• Prepare various reports
• Produce design drawings
• Prepare technical specifications
• Prepare permit submittals for mechanical engineering projects
• Manage multiple concurrent projects
• Complete work assignments within allocated time and budget

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with PE registration or ability to quickly acquire NC PE through reciprocity
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design and HVAC system analysis
• Ability to work as part of a project team
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
• Technically competent, a team player, and good communication skills
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record

Qualifications

• Experience with plumbing and fire protection systems is preferred but not required
• Experience with healthcare work is preferred but not required
