Senior Project Engineer - Geotechnical
About the role
This position involves producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. It requires consulting with the project manager for research, development, calculations, design, and delivery. The role involves applying engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for complex and cross-discipline projects, addressing design-related issues through creative problem-solving, client interactions, and completing tasks to meet project schedules.
Responsibilities
- Develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support project completion using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software.
- Mentors, trains, and reviews work of junior engineers and provides constructive feedback.
- Contributes to the successful project delivery for a diverse range of projects for HNTB’s clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, or
- Master’s degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, or
- PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.

Pay
The approximate pay range for New Jersey is $121,423.35 - $207,183.90. The approximate pay range for Massachusetts is $132,461.84 - $207,183.90. The approximate pay range for Rocky Hill, CT is $121,423.35 - $189,918.58. The approximate nation wide pay range for this position is $110,384.86 - $215,816.57.
