About the role

This position involves producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans and specifications for assigned projects. It requires consulting with the project manager to perform research, development, calculations, design and delivery. The role involves applying engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for complex and cross-discipline projects.

Responsibilities

  • Performs research, development, calculations, design and delivery for assigned projects.
  • Consults with the project manager to address design-related issues and concerns, working closely with clients and completing tasks to meet project schedules.
  • Develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support project completion using current drawing and technical tools, programs and software.
  • Mentors, trains and reviews work of junior engineers and provides constructive feedback.
  • Contributes to the successful project delivery for a diverse range of projects for HNTB’s clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master’s degree in Engineering and 7 years of relevant experience, or
  • PhD in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Uses refined technical skills to identify problems, develop appropriate solutions, and make good decisions, knowing what tools to use for effective solutions and optimal outcomes on projects.

Pay

The approximate pay range for New Jersey is $121,423.35 - $207,183.90. The approximate pay range for Massachusetts is $132,461.84 - $207,183.90. The approximate pay range for Rocky Hill, CT is $121,423.35 - $189,918.58. The approximate nation wide pay range for this position is $110,384.86 - $215,816.57.
