About the role

The Senior Project Engineer - Conveyance and Infrastructure Rehabilitation will work closely with subject matter specialists, project managers and other team leads locally and nationally to lead and execute work involving conventional types of civil engineering principles and other related activities for buried infrastructure projects. You will work on a variety of projects that may include assessments, planning, evaluation, design, and construction related activities for wastewater, water and stormwater conveyance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects through planning, design, and creation of civil engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Serve as a lead technical resource for multiple client service teams.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of BC Standards.
  • Engage on multiple top Area pursuits by providing technical contributions for proposals and presentations.
  • Mentorship: Provides mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.

Requirements

  • Typically, a minimum of 10 years of work experience in civil engineering or related field.
  • A history of leading large-scale projects and initiatives with strategic importance.
  • Professionally licensed.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in civil, environmental engineering and consulting industry, specifically in water/wastewater conveyance systems, with progressive responsibilities including project management, marketing and business development.
  • Extensive experience in the planning, design, rehabilitation, and execution of large-scale collection system facilities.
  • Familiarity of cutting-edge pipeline and condition assessment technology tools is a plus.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience in civil, environmental engineering and consulting industry, specifically in water/wastewater conveyance systems, with progressive responsibilities including project management, marketing and business development.
  • Extensive experience in the planning, design, rehabilitation, and execution of large-scale collection system facilities.
  • Familiarity of cutting-edge pipeline and condition assessment technology tools is a plus.

Skills

  • Project ability to direct and organize civil teams to complete multiple tasks.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage team communications.
  • Proven capability to solve complex, undefined problems.
  • Expertise in the design and planning of civil engineering projects.
  • Keen understanding of regulatory compliance for relevant codes, laws, and permits and impacts of changing regulatory environments.
  • Understanding of delivering complex projects and multiple delivery alternatives.

Pay

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
