Major Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative solutions and design standards either self-directed or as a leader of a team.
- Conceptualize, detail, and implement conveyor and packaging systems for industrial processes and machinery that meet our customers' requirements.
- Develop a full system layout, select components, develop process flow diagrams, and prepare system documentation.
- Show functional knowledge of packaging systems.
- Perform the Project management role on some projects, including developing project execution plans, work breakdown structures, and associated budgets.
- Manage tasks, prioritize schedules, track time, and report.
- Monitor financial tracking and reporting, identify early problems, manage conflicts, lead and support a team, and attend project status meetings.
- Ensure the overall profitability of the project.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical systems or relevant Associates Degree with relevant hands-on experience.
- Greater than 10 years of experience in design of mechanical conveyor systems, material handling systems, and complex manufacturing solutions for the food/beverage/HPC/chemicals field.
- Extensive experience in relevant safety systems and safety controls for all equipment center types.
- Experience working with Mechanical installers, electrical installers, and all trade skills.
- Ability to design full turn-key solutions for our clients based on specific client needs.
- In-depth understanding of conveyor systems and types of material handling solutions.
- Experience leading a team of engineers/technicians to material handling solutions.
- Experience mentoring less experienced engineers.
- Professional references, preferably one from each of the following: a subordinate, a peer, and a manager.
Physical Demands of Position
- Seeing, color perception, hearing, clear speech, dexterity in hands, driving, lifting, ability to mount/dismount equipment, pushing and pulling.
