Senior Project Engineer
About the role
The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for leading and executing capital and expense projects across Olin's Texas Operations - a large, integrated chemical manufacturing complex. Leveraging established project management and Front-End Loading (FEL) practices, this role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget while meeting all technical, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage Site capital and expense projects from concept through execution by defining scope, estimates, schedules, procurement needs, and construction plans while applying FEL and maintaining change-management practices
- Ensure all project activities comply with EHS requirements, OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, industry standards, and internal engineering and regulatory practices
- Cook up multi-disciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Center of Excellence, and external partners to ensure safe, effective project implementation
- Monitor and report project progress, risks, and performance metrics while conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
- Provide project engineering expertise through technical reviews, hazard analyses, troubleshooting, and driving improvements in reliability, operability, and maintainability
- Mentor and guide other Projects Engineers and early-career engineers in project methodology, technical decision-making, and stakeholder engagement
- Support site initiatives including turnarounds, shutdown planning, as Manufacturing Representatives and/or Project Managers across site-level projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering; Chemical, Mechanical or Civil preferred
- 7+ years of experience in project engineering related roles; Chemical manufacturing or related industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience delivering capital projects using FEL methodologies; Strong knowledge of project management principles and tools
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of ownership across multi-discipline teams
- Strong understanding of OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and recognized and generally accepted good engineering practices (RAGAGEP)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Project Management Professional certification preferred

- Must possess a valid US driver's license and be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
