About This Opportunity
The Senior Project Engineer will assist with project documentation, change management, and quality assurance. They will also manage subcontractors, prepare RFIs, and coordinate meetings.
Responsibilities
- Utilize and maintain project management software and keep up-to-date project folders.
- Document existing conditions and provide current drawings and specifications to subcontractors.
- File inspection and test reports and prepare logs for weekly meetings.
- Prepare and review RFIs, manage submittals, and coordinate long-lead procurement items.
- Support QA/QC by verifying installed materials and tracking project changes.
- Initiate and oversee project closeout processes, secure final payments, and manage punch list completion.
- Maintain accurate and timely processing of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Monitor and enforce safety standards and ensure regular attendance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 3 to 5 years of related experience in commercial construction projects.
- Familiarity with LEED principles.
- Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and document editing software.
- Ability to read and understand complex instructions and documents.
- Ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate and use CAD software.
