We provide specialty grade high-purity virgin sulfuric acid for a variety of diverse and growing end uses, including mining, electric vehicle production, and industrial applications.
Responsibilities
- Specify equipment for sulfuric acid regeneration unit, including boilers, compressors, heat exchangers, generators, cooling towers, acid towers, precipitators, converters, furnaces, tanks, and pumps.
- Perform hydraulic calculations for non-compressible and compressible fluids.
- Size project components such as piping, ducting, valves, pumps, etc.
- Develop specification sheets for equipment for use in capital project procurement.
- Develop PFDs and P&IDs for new or modified operations.
- Develop operational and/or functional statements in coordination with Controls Engineer.
- Manage, schedule, and coordinate all assigned capital projects.
- Develop, justify, and submit project scopes and cost estimates.
- Develop and submit capital project appropriation requests.
- Manage project budgets via tracking and forecasting project costs.
- Manage projects in the field during construction, including during unit turnarounds.
- Maintain document control of all project files throughout project duration.
- Ensure project compliance with applicable codes, laws, policies, and technical specifications.
Requirements
- Must have Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Experience in analyzing, troubleshooting, and solving problems.
- Proficient in using and developing engineering spreadsheets/calculations.
- Multi-tasking skills.
- Organized, systematic, independent, and self-motivated.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn basic project management processes.
- Prior experience with AutoCAD and/or applicable chemical process simulation software is preferred.
- Prior knowledge of local and state laws and applicable OSHA standards is preferred.
- TWIC Card required.
