Senior Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with a strong mechanical design background and substantial experience in mechanical pumping and cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading technical teams and driving new product development in a manufacturing engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development teams with a focus on mechanical pumping systems and cooling systems with heat exchangers and fans.
• Coordinate engineering activities and project execution to ensure timely delivery of technical deliverables.
• Drive project timelines and manage technical risks to achieve high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
• Provide technical mentoring to junior engineers and support their professional growth.
• Utilize engineering tools such as PLM and MRP software to optimize project workflows.
• Conduct system testing and debugging to enhance product performance and reliability.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to align project goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or similar education with significant relevant experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in designing mechanical pumping systems and cooling systems.
• 3+ years of experience leading new product development teams.
• Proficiency in engineering tools like PLM and MRP software.
• Solid understanding of system testing, debugging, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong technical problem-solving and risk analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
• Experience with Solidworks is advantageous.
• Familiarity with data center cooling and heat exchanger/thermal management systems.
• Experience in electromechanical systems is beneficial.
• Leadership experience in managing technical teams of 4 or more engineers.
• Broader project management exposure and new product development leadership are nice-to-haves.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $150,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
