We are seeking a Senior Project Director – Rail Transit to join our team of dedicated professionals and help deliver transformative infrastructure projects that shape the future of transportation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee complex rail transit projects spanning design, installation, testing, and commissioning activities, while ensuring successful delivery on scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
- Establish project priorities, forecast resource needs, provide technical and quality oversight, and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Demonstrate strategic leadership, business acumen, and technical expertise while guiding multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project execution.
Requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible project management experience, including planning, budgeting, execution, and successful project delivery
- Extensive knowledge of the rail transit industry, including rail track, high speed rail, rail signaling, and/or rail grade crossing design and construction
- Proven ability to manage multiple rail or railroad projects simultaneously within a complex operating environment
- Strong leadership skills with experience working in a dynamic matrix organization, collaborating with regional and local leadership teams, and supporting business development, marketing, and project delivery efforts

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $230,000.00 to $360,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Our hybrid working policy allows employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
