Responsibilities
- Cook up and synchronize release train management, deployment schedules, and continuous software delivery workflows across multiple Product Teams.
- Facilitate operational alignment between prioritized mission needs expressed by Product Owners and engineering execution to accelerate delivery velocity while preserving quality.
- Track and monitor project milestones related to technical modernization, application refactoring, and technical debt reduction initiatives.
- Maintain and organize comprehensive project documentation, release plans, performance metrics, and standard operating procedures for the branch.
- Manage communication and coordination across a vendor-heavy environment, acting as an operational bridge between government technical leadership, stakeholders, and external contractors.
- Aid in monitoring product team backlogs and sprint plans to ensure engineering approaches remain consistent with enterprise standards and security requirements.
- Proactively identify project risks, scheduling bottlenecks, or resource constraints that impact continuous delivery, and conduct root-cause tracking for remediation.
- Ensure all project coordination activities support strict adherence to federal security standards, government baselines, and DISA STIGs across the Software Yard lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing release schedules, coordination logs, and operational workflows for multi-disciplinary software product teams.
- Comprehensive operational understanding of Agile methodologies, modern software delivery models, and managing complex product backlogs.
- Strong experience facilitating collaboration, tracking deliverables, and maintaining continuity across large-scale, vendor-heavy programs.
- Proficiency using enterprise management tools (such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow) to track project milestones, release trains, and engineering velocity.
- Strong foundational understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), technical debt concepts, and configuration management baselines.
