Essential Role (The Main Idea) To guide projects with technical leadership, design sensitivity, and collaborative problem-solving, ensuring each project is thoughtfully executed from concept through construction while supporting client's mission of purpose-driven design. Responsibilities Project Leadership + Technical Design: Engage in early project planning and design developmentTranslate conceptual design into coordinated construction documentsLead technical detailing, code analysis, and documentation strategyCoordinate consultant teams and interdisciplinary project informationMaintain quality control throughout documentation phasesParticipate in construction administration, including submittals, RFIs, and site observationsSupport clear and effective graphic communication standards Team Collaboration + Mentorship: Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and consultantsGuide and mentor emerging team membersFoster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's and Master's degree in architectureLicensed Architect (Michigan licensure preferred)12+ years of professional architectural experienceStrong technical expertise in construction documentation and detailingAdvanced proficiency in Revit and SketchUpExperience coordinating consultants and managing complex project documentationConstruction administration experience requiredSpecification preparation experience preferredStrong communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsA desire to contribute to a mission-driven architectural practice.
