Senior Project Analyst
Job Description
Submarine Publications is looking for an experienced project analyst to coordinate revisions to technical manuals to be used by Naval personnel. This position will drive improvement, process commonality among the publishing project teams, and promote a cooperative team atmosphere.
- Plan, schedule, and track technical manual revisions from conception through distribution using local and integrated schedules
- Cook with publishing in paper and electronic formats (for example, HTML and PDF formats)
- Team with publications manager, engineering, and technical editors to establish priorities for project deliverables while ensuring that quality and timeliness goals are met
- Develops and manages the risk management plan, reporting status of risk and recommending risk response strategies
- Meet routinely with technical editors to assess performance to plan and recommend corrective actions to maintain schedule and mitigate risk
- Promote a cooperative team atmosphere among stakeholders
- Review team members' work for accuracy
- Maintain existing and develop new metrics to monitor product quality and timeliness, identify negative trends, and recommend corrective actions
- Mentors and trains project team members, stakeholders, and junior project support personnel on Project Management processes
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Absolutely Required:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing and maintaining project schedules for projects or programs using project management principles and tools
- Experience maintaining procedures that are in accordance with governing document requirements
- Experience working on project teams and developing and supporting project execution
- Experience with a variety of publication software applications, including XML/HTML editors and MS Word

Pay Range
$78,700.00 - $120,500.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
