Senior Project Accountant

We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support financial operations for a growing organization in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This role is well suited for an accounting specialist who can manage day-to-day transactions, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to timely close activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities across payables, receivables, and general ledger functions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining supporting documentation and proper account classification.
• Reconcile bank accounts and key balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Support monthly and period-end close processes by reviewing transactions, analyzing variances, and finalizing account balances.
• Maintain project and corporate financial records with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards.
• Partner with internal teams to track financial activity, respond to reporting needs, and improve the flow of accounting information.
• Utilize accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP to process transactions and generate financial data.
• Assist with process updates, reporting enhancements, and other accounting initiatives as business needs evolve.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of full cycle accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s in Accounting.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and participate in month-end close activities with a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency in one or more accounting platforms, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to maintain organized financial records.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
