About the role
Ardmore Roderick is seeking a Senior Program Scheduler to join our team at Austin, Texas. This opportunity may be hybrid depending on the specific client, project, and team needs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical work including Primavera P6 scheduling, project management information systems (Microsoft SharePoint and Trimble Unity Connect) and the Microsoft Suite
- This position supports the technical aspects of project development and delivery and will perform quality control/quality assurance on elements of project controls work efforts, products and deliverables
- This position supports the periodic disposition of contractor schedules while maintaining a master schedule incorporating all schedule components from stakeholders and contractors
- Attend meetings with contractors and stakeholders to discuss project status and participate in field inspections if necessary
- Incorporate schedule input from stakeholders and contractors
- Develop and implement master schedule management plan and reporting for program and contractor specific level schedule
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of cost control procedure and reporting
- Conduct risk interviews and develop and monitor risk register in an FTA environment
- Develop draft risk and contingency management plan and implement
- Support ongoing process development and Procore implementation
- Develop and maintain dashboard reporting
- Cook up cost estimate workbooks as provided by stakeholders and contractors
- Consult on complex project issues
- Ability to cost and/or resource load a CPM schedule
- Apply advanced knowledge to make recommendations and deliver solutions
Requirements
- B.S. degree in construction management, civil or structural engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of experience utilizing Oracle Primavera P6 version 20.12 or higher
- Minimum of 8 years of experience on projects in rail, transit and operation and maintenance facilities
- Minimum 5 years of field construction experience
- Minimum of 5 years of delay claim and time impact analysis
Qualifications
- Have a collaborator mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
- Ability to thrive in a cost accounting environment
- Ability to clearly communicate the status of a CPM schedule and recommend workarounds
- Ability to merge or summarize schedules into a master schedule
- Have excellent skills in updating and maintaining CPM schedules using Oracle Primavera P6
- Proficient in analyzing CPM schedules to determine how to mitigate loss time
- A proven self-starter and analytical approach to project controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in implementation and use of SharePoint, e-Builder and Procore to manage document controls
- Have great organizational skills
- High diligence in analyzing schedule data
- Working knowledge of FTA requirements for implementation of earned value management
Skills
- PMP certification and/or PMI-SP certification
- 10+ years of onsite construction experience
- 5 or more years of estimating on rail and transit centric projects to provide subject matter expertise in technical specialty
- Minimum of 5 years of delay claim and time impact analysis experience
- Experience with Power BI or SmartPM
- Ability to create, manage and analyze project timelines
- Ability to perform time impact analysis and/or delay claims
- Ability to cost and or resource load a construction schedule
- Ability to manage large schedules for complex projects
- Ability to review contractor and/or designer schedules submittals for conformance with contract requirements
- Ability to update project schedules to reflect actual progress and compare against a baseline
- Ability to forecast potential delays and propose “what-if” scenarios to keep projects on track
- Ability to cost and/or resource load schedules
