Senior Program Manager - Space and Defense Group

About the role

The Moog Space and Defense Group is expanding and seeks experienced Senior Program Managers to lead complex production programs in a manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates should have a minimum of a BS degree in Engineering or Business, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and a proven track record in managing cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical programs from contract award to final end item delivery, including sales and proposal efforts.
• Manage cross-functional teams across disciplines such as contracts, procurement, engineering, test, operations, and quality.
• Ensure program plans, schedules, and costs meet both Moog and customer expectations.
• Prepare and present materials for internal and customer meetings.
• Review and manage program costs and technical risks, providing regular updates during Program Management Reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum of a BS Degree in Engineering or Business.
• At least 5 years of program/project management experience in aerospace, defense, or highly engineered manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex production programs with direct responsibility for cost, schedule, and performance.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and resolving issues impacting program performance.
• Knowledge of contractual requirements and scope adherence.
• Proven ability to operate under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information.
• PMP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently having a Security Clearance is highly preferred.

Skills

Technical background to interpret and confirm requirements throughout the program, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Pay

Buffalo, NY: $115,000.00–$155,000.00 Annually
