Senior Professional, Category Marketing - Train & Licensing
Purpose of Role
The Senior Professional, Category Marketing – Train & Licensing plays a critical role in shaping and delivering franchise-led, consumer-first storytelling across the Train category, with explicit accountability for representing the Mens Train consumer within a co-gender marketing model. This role will also support license partner marketing strategy and ultimate go-to-market execution.
Your Impact
- Own development and execution of seasonal category toolkits, ensuring Mens Train product, insights, and storytelling are fully embedded within co-gender narratives
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in Mens Train and licensed products, translating technical product features, fit, and innovation into clear consumer benefits for products such as compression gear, performance tees, shorts, footwear, underwear, as well as outbound license categories including eyewear and hydration
- Own execution, synthesis, and share-out of research related to the Mens Train consumer, sport culture, and competitive landscape
- Partner with Senior Managers to develop strategic briefs and GTM and product milestone presentations, integrating consumer insights, cultural intelligence, and business data into cohesive, consumer-first narratives
- Partner with licensees to drive their marketing strategy and budget in alignment with UA’s inline marketing strategy and brand standards
- Contribute to the overall brand strategy across the entire outbound licensing portfolio
- Full marketing life-cycle management: deliver seasonal direction, manage timelines and approval process, measure impact, iterate
- Proactively collaborate with regional marketing teams to support localization while maintaining global consistency
- Own seasonal seeding and activation processes for Mens Train and outbound licensing stories, including execution, tracking, and recap
- Support photo and content planning to ensure Mens Train hero products are accurately represented; opportunistically integrate licensing products into relevant marketing timeline moments, consumer journeys, photoshoots, seeding, etc. as applicable/available
- Participate in travel for shoots, market visits, and consumer/athlete insight gathering
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in brand marketing, category marketing, licensing, agency or related consumer-focused roles within a global consumer, sport, or lifestyle brand
- Demonstrated ability to translate consumer, athlete, cultural, and product inputs into clear, well-structured storytelling and category deliverables
- Growing product fluency in performance apparel and footwear, with the ability to understand technical innovation and communicate consumer benefits
- Experience supporting or contributing to global or multi-region marketing work, with curiosity and appreciation for regional nuance
- Lead and manage relationships with third-party licensees, ensuring clear communication, professionalism, and strong alignment on expectations while proactively addressing challenges
- Drive consistency and adherence to brand standards across all touchpoints, while identifying synergies and new opportunities for product integration within the broader marketing ecosystem to elevate partner execution
- Experience supporting relationship or account management with third-party licensees and/or partner collaborations a plus
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality output consistently
- Confident communication with the ability to present ideas, insights, and work-in-progress to cross-functional partners
- Strong passion for performance sport, training and fitness culture, wellness, and athlete-led product creation
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically for shoots, market visits, and consumer/athlete insight gathering

Base Compensation
$90,000.00-$120,000.00 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
