We’re looking for leaders who will lead transformation on the forefront. This isn't just a supervisory role; it's a critical leadership position where you'll have the power to shape culture, drive performance, and directly impact the quality and efficiency of our operations. As the vital link between strategic goals and daily execution, you'll lead a dedicated hourly team, fostering an environment where they can do their best work and feel empowered.

Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Act as a champion of workplace safety, proactively enforcing regulations and fostering a culture of vigilance.
  • Driving Operational Excellence: Lead and direct a team of employees to consistently produce high-quality products and meet or exceed production targets. Take ownership of team performance, addressing shortcomings proactively and celebrating successes.
  • Strategic Focus & Problem Solving: Prioritize critical tasks and effectively allocate human resources to maximize efficiency. Apply a "Bias for Action," promptly and decisively addressing safety and quality issues to prevent larger problems. Identify and analyze problems, develop and implement effective solutions, make timely and well-informed decisions, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Embrace a servant leadership style, focusing on building high-performing, winning teams and investing in their growth. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating your team to achieve shared goals.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and insights to reduce downtime and quality defects, driving quantifiable improvements in efficiency and quality. Track and report employee time and attendance, transforming raw data into actionable intelligence for strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement & Quality Assurance: Maintain a relentless focus on identifying and eliminating inefficiencies, improving processes, and driving innovation to enhance productivity, quality, and safety. Implement and maintain rigorous quality standards, pursuing excellence to eliminate defects and ensure exceptional product quality.
  • Conflict Resolution & Interpersonal Relationships: Proactively address and mediate conflicts fairly and effectively, facilitating mutually acceptable solutions. Build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with your team, suppliers, and union representatives through transparent communication and active listening, fostering a psychologically safe environment.
  • Accountability & Fairness: Champion accountability, managing both your own performance and that of the hourly workforce regarding processes and standards. Ensure fairness and meet conflict with decisive action.
  • Collaboration: Actively listen to and value the perspectives of all team members and other department stakeholders. Partner with team members, the union, and management to continuously improve everything.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of supervisory, manufacturing, military, or other relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale process improvements or cultural shifts.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts/hours, including nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodology.
  • Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) experience or equivalent.

Pay

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility, and competitive market value.
