At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow." As a Quantitative User Experience Researcher (Quant UXR), you make this possible. You will join a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating closely with Engineering and Product Management to create industry-leading, innovative products.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and go-to-market (GTM) leadership to answer critical questions through data analysis.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to understand user behavior, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for product growth.
- Apply statistical methods and modeling techniques to extract insights and build predictive models for product performance.
- Develop and monitor core metrics and dashboards to track user engagement and business outcomes.
- Design and maintain data pipelines that aggregate and enrich key product data to power scalable analyses.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 6 years of experience in product research in an applied research setting, or similar.
- Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field, 5 years of experience conducting UX research on products and working with executive leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
- Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go), experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation, experience with machine learning techniques and libraries, experience with datasets and distributed computing systems such as Google Cloud Platform or BigQuery, experience building and maintaining data pipelines and extract, transform, load (ETL) processes to support product strategy.
Pay & Schedule
US: $159000 - $231000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
