Senior Product Owner (f/m/x)
About the role
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Product Owner to support the development and continuous improvement of our leading real-time auction platform. In this role, you will turn product requirements into clear, actionable work packages for the development team, manage priorities within the development process, and work closely with engineering to deliver robust, scalable features in a demanding live platform environment.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring requirements are refined, prioritized, and ready for implementation
- Work closely with Product Management and the Business Analyst to prepare, clarify, and structure requirements for the development team
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation-ready specifications together with relevant stakeholders
- Support the engineering team throughout delivery by providing clarity, resolving ambiguities, and helping remove blockers so they can stay focused on development
- Contribute to efficient refinement, sprint preparation, and the continuous improvement of product development processes and collaboration
Requirements
- At least 6 to 10 years of experience as Product Owner or similar role in agile software delivery environments
- Experience gained in at least two different companies and across different project settings
- Experience with business-critical end-to-end digital products is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, backlog management, and product delivery processes
- Ability to explore problems, identify gaps, and challenge assumptions in requirements
- Experienced eye for handling risks, constraints, and a wide range of non-functional requirements
- Committed, conscientious personality with the ability to direct others
- Enjoy autonomy and a responsible, self-directed way of working
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in English and German
- EU citizen or valid work permit for the EU
- Country of residence: Austria or Germany

In-office: Leoben (Austria) — Remote: Full or partial remote work possible (Place of residence: Austria or Germany)
Schedule
Fulltime, permanent — Weekly hours of work 38.5 hours — Overtime compensation for 5 hours per week included in salary
Pay
Salary range starts at EUR 81,200 gross per year — We offer a higher salary in line with your experience and skills.
