Senior Product Marketing Manager - Observability

Responsibilities
- Develop clear and compelling product positioning that highlights the value of the HPE OpsRamp solution in infrastructure monitoring, cloud-native observability, and AIOps. Maintain messaging frameworks tailored to target personas, industries, and use cases.
- Define and execute go-to-market strategies for existing and new product offerings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and sales, to align marketing plans with product roadmaps and business objectives, while leading launches.
- Produce high-impact marketing collateral, including solution briefs, whitepapers, case studies, demo videos, and blogs. Partner with demand generation teams to create campaign assets, landing pages, eBooks, webinars, and compelling offers that drive pipeline.
- Build thought leadership about observability trends, hybrid cloud operations, and AIOps through analyst engagement, speaking opportunities, and industry content.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer pain points, and competitive insights. Translate research findings into actionable recommendations for product positioning and differentiation.
- Develop sales enablement tools, such as battle cards, product training materials, and objection-handling guides. Partner with sales to ensure they are equipped to effectively communicate product value to customers.
- Work closely with customer success teams to identify and showcase customer success stories. Leverage customer feedback to refine messaging and influence product roadmap decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of product marketing experience in a complex hybrid cloud or cloud-native environment.
- Experience marketing observability platforms across metrics, logs, traces, event correlation, and distributed systems.
- Experience connecting observability and AI/AIOps narratives—including automation, anomaly detection, and predictive operations—into business value.
- Proven success marketing to SRE, platform engineering, and IT operations teams by developing go-to-market strategies, crafting differentiated messaging, and leading cross-functional product launches.
- Strong track record of partnering with product, sales, and marketing teams.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills to a variety of customer, sales, and partner audiences; ability to simplify complex concepts and influence stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment.
- Ability to leverage market, customer, and competitive insights to inform product and marketing strategy.
- Experience using generative AI tools to scale content development, refine messaging, and improve efficiency and pipeline impact.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with enterprise buyers including CIOs, CTOs, VP Infrastructure, and IT Operations leaders.
- Experience supporting analyst relations and industry influencers.
- Ability to position solutions for personas such as SRE, platform engineering, and IT operations teams, and for use cases such as incident management, root cause analysis, and hybrid cloud observability.
- Understanding of leading observability vendors (e.g., Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic, New Relic, Grafana, AppDynamics, SolarWinds) to articulate differentiated value.

Pay
The expected salary/wage range for this position varies by geographic location:
- United States: Annual salary of USD 111,000 - 211,000 in Colorado.
- United States: Annual salary of USD 120,000 - 228,000 in Massachusetts.
- United States: Annual salary of USD 120,000 - 243,000 in California.
- United States: Annual salary of USD 105,500 - 243,000 in Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas.
The listed salary range reflects base salary. Variable incentives may also be offered.
