Senior Product Marketing Manager, Global Marketing Solutions
About the role
Planet is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead marketing for its Global Monitoring Solutions. This portfolio serves defense, intelligence, and government customers who need to understand changes across large areas over time, leveraging Planet's daily broad area monitoring and pattern of life analysis.
Responsibilities
- Own the marketing plan for existing solutions and lead strategy and launches for new ones, collaborating with Marketing, Sales, and Enablement throughout the lifecycle.
- Develop the value proposition, messaging frameworks, and Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs) that align GTM teams and resonate with customers.
- Translate complex technological futures into product-market fit and communicate them effectively to customer-facing teams.
- Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Enablement to ensure alignment and effectiveness in campaigns, content, and sales strategies.
- Maintain a library of product assets, including solution briefs, pitch decks, battle cards, objection handling, customer vignettes, and narrative-driven collateral, ensuring they are current, compelling, and usable.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant product marketing experience with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
- A strong understanding of how government and defense customers evaluate, procure, and make decisions.
- Experience with AI tools in day-to-day workflow to generate messaging, build solutions, and accelerate execution.
- Track record of engaging hard-to-reach buyers with modern storytelling techniques.
- Experience working with international sales teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and self-starter with ability to collaborate across departments.
Qualifications
- Direct experience with maritime domain awareness, ISR, GEOINT, or persistent monitoring mission areas.
- Proven ability to articulate complex technological futures and translate them into deeply penetrating product-market fit.
- Geospatial expertise.
Skills
- Strong communication and storytelling skills.

- Expertise in B2G/B2B categories.

Pay
The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is $127,000—$158,700 USD. Additional details regarding the specific salary range are available upon request.
Schedule
This is a full-time, hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the San Francisco or Washington, D.C. office.
