Senior Product Marketing Manager
About Volta
Volta is the category-defining, fully vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform – from capital to clusters to software, under a founder-led enterprise. Our mission is The Utility of Compute™: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it. Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.
About The Role
Volta’s category claim rests on a genuinely different argument – that AI compute should be financed, developed, and operated like infrastructure – and that argument only works if it’s airtight everywhere it shows up: in a press interview, an analyst briefing, a job description, a sales deck. This role extends our Director of Marketing’s own execution capacity on exactly that discipline, rather than day-to-day content production, which sits with our content and social lead. You’ll report to our Director of Marketing and become the company’s primary authority on messaging accuracy, analyst relations, and competitive positioning – with the latitude to own that ground independently in a fast-moving, pre-Series-B environment.
Responsibilities
- Messaging & Narrative Strategy
- Own Volta’s narrative and messaging strategy – translating our category thesis into one consistent story across press, analysts, sales, and recruiting.
- Serve as the company’s editorial authority on message accuracy, making sure our claims and proof points hold together as we scale across more channels and more voices.
- Partner with our Director of Marketing on executive conversation enablement – briefing docs and talk tracks for founders and leadership.
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning
- Run our analyst relations program day-to-day, including briefing prep and follow-up with the industry analyst firms we’re already engaged with.
- Own market and competitive intelligence across the AI infrastructure landscape – tracking how the category is evolving and how competitors are positioning as it does.
- Lead win/loss and buyer research, and broader market research, to keep our positioning grounded in real conversations and real market shifts rather than internal assumptions.
- Sales & GTM Enablement
- Own sales enablement content – battlecards, objection handling, and pitch materials – in partnership with our product organization.
- Represent marketing in product and go-to-market planning, so new capabilities are reflected in our messaging before they ship, not after.
- Support the pricing and packaging narrative as our commercial terms evolve alongside the broader capital-structure story.
Requirements
- 7+ years in product marketing, with at least 3 in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, or complex technical B2B.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex financial or technical concepts into a clear, buyer-facing narrative.
- Comfort serving as the primary messaging authority with minimal oversight in an early-stage, fast-changing environment.
- Experience running an analyst relations program independently.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML technology is a strong plus.
Benefits
- Competitive salary based on the work you do here, not your previous salary
- Equity in Volta, giving you the opportunity to share in the company's long-term success
- Retirement/pension contributions
- Comprehensive health, wellbeing and insurance benefits
- Generous number of vacation days each year
