About the role
Ontra is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager, focused on AI-Native Legal Services, to join our Product Marketing team. This role reports to our Director of Product Marketing and is currently only hiring candidates based in the United States.
This role owns the legal buyer ecosystem, workflows, positioning, and outcomes associated with routine commercial and transactional contracts, including NDAs, non-reliance letters, engagement letters, vendor contracts, and joinders. This person will be the go-to expert for our combined AI + expert service that pairs AI-powered automation and the judgement of human experts to deliver outcomes private equity legal teams can trust. We're looking for someone excited to own go-to-market strategy and to influence product and services direction across the portfolio. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the intersection of strategy and execution, sitting at the center of Product, Services, Sales, Marketing, and Enablement.
You will serve as the subject matter expert and internal voice for your portfolio, translating complex legal workflows and AI-driven service delivery into crisp, compelling narratives that resonate and drive more business with our buyers. If you are someone who loves turning ideas into action, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can seamlessly balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, we'd love to get to know you!
Responsibilities
- Product & Market Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the private equity ecosystem, contract automation and adjacent Ontra offerings, competitive landscape, and customer pain points. Synthesize market intelligence into a compelling point of view and work with product and service teams on creative ideas to influence product roadmap priorities and positioning decisions.
- Go-to-Market Leadership: Lead GTM planning and execution for Contract Automation Services and adjacent offerings—from positioning and messaging to launch coordination, sales enablement, and pricing and packaging programs.
- Messaging & Positioning: Craft differentiated, persona-driven messaging. Translate offerings into business value and market positioning that resonates with buyers across the private equity ecosystem.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Enablement to bring new capabilities to market, drive pipeline, and support cross-sell and upsell motions across our solution portfolio.
- Revenue Programs: Own the revenue of your portfolio. Identify and drive creative, insight-led programs that accelerate revenue growth and adoption across your product lines—including competitive positioning, win/loss analysis, and buyer journey optimization.
- Pricing & Packaging: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and refine pricing models and packaging structures that reflect customer value, support deal velocity, and unlock expansion revenue. Translate packaging decisions into clear sales narratives and customer-facing materials.
- Internal Evangelism: Serve as the go-to internal expert for your solution areas, enabling Sales and Customer Success with the knowledge, tools, and narratives to win and retain customers.
- Additional Support: Develop messaging, collateral, and co-marketing frameworks that support Ontra’s strategic partner relationships and integrations relevant to your product area.
Requirements
- Experience: 7+ years of product marketing or related experience, ideally spanning both B2B SaaS and services-oriented offerings.
- Industry Exposure: Private Equity or Big Law marketing experience preferred, but not required. Experience with, or exposure to, the private equity ecosystem, legal teams within it, and the ability to quickly learn complex industries.
- AI Fluency: Familiarity with the AI landscape and an experimental, test-and-learn mindset; you stay current on how AI is reshaping industries at large.
- Target Audience Expertise: Experience marketing to legal, financial services, or enterprise buyers; familiarity with GCs, Legal Ops, or deal teams is a strong plus.
- Go-to-Market Leadership: Proven ability to own GTM strategy end-to-end—from market research and positioning through launch, enablement, and adoption.
- Storytelling: Strong instincts for storytelling; you can translate complex, technical capabilities into sharp, audience-specific narratives.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated experience at a rapidly scaling, multi-product company and ability to remain focused but adaptive.
- Execution Mindset: Equal comfort operating at the strategic level and rolling up your sleeves to execute—you write your own copy, run your own analyses, and ship your own programs.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously without dropping the ball.
- Collaboration: A collaborative approach and genuine desire to grow, learn, and contribute to an awesome team.
