Nexcess provides specialty cloud solutions for organizations where performance and compliance have to coexist. We serve businesses worldwide, from agencies scaling client sites to enterprises running mission-critical operations. We've built our reputation on deep technical expertise and genuine partnership with every client we work with.

About the role

We are hiring a Sr. Product Marketing Manager to lead product messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy for our Managed Cloud portfolio. You will partner closely with Product, Sales, and Executive Leadership to translate complex technical capabilities into compelling business value while ensuring consistent, impactful messaging across every customer touchpoint. You will become expert in the ideal customer profile, identify value propositions, and drive product requirements that enable us to solve our customers' most pressing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Own messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy for the Managed Cloud portfolio.
  • Lead go-to-market execution for new products and features, including launch planning, enablement, and commercialization readiness.
  • Translate technical capabilities into clear business value for owners, IT generalists, finance leads, and compliance stakeholders.
  • Develop buyer personas, competitive positioning, sales enablement materials, and customer-facing messaging.
  • Work with demand marketing to drive pipeline and new product revenue for the portfolio.
  • Build scalable sales enablement programs, including training, objection handling, and competitive intelligence resources.
  • Own competitive and displacement positioning. We win on ownership and accountability, not feature checklists or price.
  • Drive customer research, market analysis, and win/loss programs to inform positioning, roadmap priorities, and competitive strategy.
  • Build value messaging that survives a CFO, including cost of ownership and cost of downtime.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Demand Generation, Customer Success, and Revenue Operations to support launches, campaigns, and revenue initiatives.
  • Write and review customer-facing copy across web, campaign, and partner assets, and hold the line on voice and careful compliance language.
  • Keep a clear source of truth for messaging so Product, Sales, and Marketing are working from the same story.
  • Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
  • Support pricing, packaging, analyst relations, thought leadership, and customer advocacy initiatives.
  • Support channel and partner marketing with co-branded messaging and partner-ready enablement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and customer engagements as a subject matter expert.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Product Marketing experience within B2B Infrastructure, Cloud, Hosting, Managed Services, or Enterprise SaaS environments.
  • Prior experience mentoring Product Marketing professionals and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies such as Bare Metal, Kubernetes, virtualisation, cloud platforms, and managed hosting.
  • Proven experience supporting Sales-Led Go-to-Market (GTM) motions and revenue-focused organisations.
  • Demonstrated success developing positioning, enablement programs, and customer-centric messaging that drives adoption and revenue impact.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including experience building ROI or TCO-based value messaging.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for business audiences.
  • Experience conducting customer interviews, Win/Loss analysis, and market research to shape strategy and positioning.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • You have strong product marketing and go-to-market experience in a B2B technology environment, especially within complex or regulated industries.
  • You are curious about technical detail, and you have the ability to turn a complex solution into clear, useful, and engaging messaging.
  • You are someone that enjoys hands-on and practical work, comfortable creating useful work rather than only setting the strategy.
  • You are a commercially minded person who drives business growth by aligning strategic messaging and sales enablement support to accelerate pipeline velocity, improve conversion rates, and expand customer growth.
  • You collaborate well across product, sales, marketing, and customer-facing teams.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Our speed and scalability are part of our business identity and rapid growth.
  • You need to be able to act and think on your feet as well as embrace a level of uncertainty.
  • You are curious about how AI is changing product marketing, including how teams enable sales, share internal knowledge, understand competitors, and show up in buyer research journeys.

Helpful (not required)

  • Experience selling to companies without dedicated IT.
  • Competitive migration and displacement plays.
  • Regulated buyers in healthcare or financial services.
  • Channel and technology advisor motions.
  • A formal sales qualification methodology such as MEDDPICC.
