About the role

Join us to help millions of Prime members and customers discover the best from Amazon's multi-billion product selection through intelligent, automated merchandising. You will create and build critical services that onboard new Prime members, generating, targeting, and optimizing cross-category marketing and merchandising for their first 90 days to ensure retention. Using generative AI and data-driven experimentation, you will deliver the best shopping and benefit experience for Amazon's customers globally, impacting product discovery across seasonal events, category moments, and personalized experiences at scale.

The role involves exploring Amazon’s customer outreach channels—Homepage experiences, browse pages, email, and push notifications—to build systems that orchestrate product curation, creative generation, and personalization into seamless customer experiences. This is an opportunity to define the future of GenAI-powered merchandising at an unprecedented scale.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with applied scientists, engineering teams, merchandisers, and marketing stakeholders to shape technology and define product strategy.
  • Work backwards from the customer to define products, prioritize features, and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Drive roadmap strategy and feature delivery, making tradeoffs to balance speed and long-term quality.
  • Advocate for diverse customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning.
  • Identify opportunities where generative AI can enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition for a product.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs in product development.
  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy.
  • Experience managing technical products or online services.
  • Strong sense of ownership, customer obsession, and excellent judgment in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, making sound decisions with incomplete information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using analytical tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, or QuickSight.
  • Experience building and driving adoption of new tools.
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
  • Experience with high-availability systems, personalization platforms, recommendation engines, or marketing automation.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D, with options for Supplemental life plans).
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Mental Health Support, and Medical Advice Line.
  • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
  • Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage.
  • 401(k) matching.
  • Paid time off and parental leave.
