Senior Product Manager, Strategic Technology Adoption & Scaling
Role Summary
The Operational Excellence Construction Technology team is redefining the building lifecycle through people, partnerships and technology. We bring product discipline to operational problems and scale validated innovations, so field teams realize measurable value. This Senior Product Manager role sits at the intersection of emerging technology and enterprise operations and will lead the transition from successful proof-of-concept to disciplined, enterprise-scale products.
Responsibilities
- Own the vision and 6–12-month roadmap for a select portfolio of products—translate pilot learnings into prioritized features and release plans that enable clear enterprise adoption paths and phased rollouts.
- Design and operationalize a technology adoption maturity framework (early / mid / late), define readiness gates, scoring criteria, and success metrics to enable repeatable go/no-go decisions and shorten time from pilot to scale.
- Create and maintain a post-pilot-to-scale playbook—provide selection criteria, evaluation templates, and rollout blueprints that increase scaled rollout predictability and reduce operational friction.
- Lead cross-functional product alignment (Suffolk Technologies, IT, Security, Legal, Change Management, Operations) and align priorities and integrations to ensure products meet enterprise architecture, compliance, and field-readiness requirements.
- Enforce compliance gates that reduce operational and legal risk during scaling.
- Act as the primary post-proof of concept liaison to startups and vendors—negotiate commercial terms, manage SLAs, and influence vendor roadmaps to secure production-ready features and enterprise support.
- Translate deployment and field feedback into product requirements—produce acceptance criteria and rollout packages that increase field adoption and reduce support escalations.
- Support governance forums and present recommendations to senior stakeholders—use KPI and ROI analyses to inform funding, executive buy-in, and timely approvals for scale initiatives.
- Define and own KPI dashboards and ROI models—measure adoption, utilization, and operational impact to demonstrate realized value and inform continued investment.
- Capture lessons learned and iterate the innovation model—institutionalize best practices that increase the rate of successful graduations from prototype to product.
- Partner with Construction Technology Leaders to enable operational rollout—deliver training packages, escalation criteria, and evaluation templates that drive consistent, durable adoption across regions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred but not required
- 8+ years of direct or adjacent technology experience, specifically product management, operational technology, or construction technology experience.
- Demonstrated experience owning early-stage implementation and pilot-to-scale processes required
- Deep understanding of construction operations or comparable industrial field operations. Field leadership experience in AEC/project-based experiences, a plus
- Proven ability to influence without authority in multi-regional organizations through ability to design and run frameworks, maturity models and governance for scaling technology
- Data driven mindset with strong analytics skills—KPI design, ROI modeling and executive reporting
- Excellent cross-functional influence, stakeholder management and communication skills. Including, experience partnering with IT on integrations, architecture and security
- Experience with artificial intelligence products, digital construction platforms (e.g., Clearstory, Trunk Tools), equipment and integrated building systems or similar (e.g. HVAC or water leak detection)
