About the role

The Senior PM will report to Kapil Kale, Co-founder and Head of Product, and will be responsible for the Platform team. This team manages infrastructure, security, and internal tools that support all other teams at Tremendous.

Responsibilities

  • PM the Platform team end-to-end, including security issues, AI infrastructure, security improvements, data/compliance, and technical upgrades.
  • Work across technical systems, collaborating closely with engineers to discuss architecture, tradeoffs, implementation details, and complex technical problems.
  • Manage the team’s product roadmap, working with stakeholders to determine what to build and when, resolving ambiguities as needed.
  • Frame up problems, explaining what problems are being solved and why, and devise solutions with designers and engineers.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform product decisions, including user interviews, market research, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate without meetings, utilizing an asynchronous, non-meeting culture.
  • Persuade with a light touch, driving decisions while keeping team members informed.
  • Report back on the impact of the team’s work once features are shipped.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of PM experience on a platform team (infrastructure, platform, security, search, data, etc).
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering or engineering management experience.
  • Exceptional technical fluency and problem-solving ability.
  • Comfortable discussing and solving complex technical problems with engineers.
  • Strong product intuition, able to translate long-term strategies into actionable roadmaps.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, effective in a documentation-first culture.
  • Comfortable making decisions without perfect information and moving work forward without being told to.
  • Genuine empathy for users and teammates, wanting to understand their problems.

Qualifications

  • Experience with platform products and technologies.
  • Understanding of security, infrastructure, and data compliance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in an asynchronous, non-meeting environment.

Skills

  • Strong technical background, particularly in platform and security areas.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with limited information.
