Senior Product Manager - Network Path
About the role
The Senior Product Manager for Network Path at Datadog is responsible for defining the vision, roadmap, and execution for network path visualization, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools. This role involves working closely with Network, DevOps, and SRE teams to understand their needs and challenges, and developing solutions that improve network visibility and performance.
Responsibilities
- Define the strategy and pioneer new ways to visualize end-to-end network paths.
- Own the core Network Path roadmap, ensuring deep coverage for cloud-native networking, SD-WAN, and traditional on-premise routing topologies.
- Explore ways to combine flow data, routing metrics, and synthetic network tests to provide a holistic view of network health.
- Partner with Product Marketing to articulate the business value of network path monitoring, showing how improved visibility directly correlates to reduced Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and optimized cloud egress costs.
- Identify opportunities to build intelligent alerting and root-cause analysis capabilities, working with engineering to surface network bottlenecks, ISP outages, or misconfigured security groups before they impact end-user applications.
Requirements
Qualifications include 3+ years of B2B SaaS Product Management experience, specifically in Network Performance Monitoring, Cloud Infrastructure, or IT Operations. Hands-on experience or deep familiarity with cloud networking concepts and traditional networking protocols is required. A deep understanding of how network performance impacts user experience and application reliability is essential. The ideal candidate should think like a business owner, have sharp critical thinking and analytical skills, and be able to link technical network metrics with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to present ideas to both technical stakeholders and executives. They should be able to work effectively across different teams to drive alignment and ensure accountability.
